6.1 Changing the battery
6.2 Cleaning the instrument
Cold residual oil cannot be removed without risking
damage to the sensor:
Immerse sensor in hot oil prior to cleaning. After this,
allow the sensor and the probe tube to cool down
long enough that there is no longer any danger of
burning. Clean the sensor before the residual oil is
cold.
The sensor may only be rubbed off lengthways and with
a paper towel. Other instrument components: Do not
use any abrasive agents. Weak household cleaning
agents, standard cleaning liquid or soap suds can be
used.
Do not use any sharp-edged objects!
