► In the „MAN" and „SEMI" modes, the tool can
be immediately removed upwards from the
packaged goods.
► The strap end remains in the tool and can be
released by pulling the operating lever (8).
In „AUTO" mode, the sealing is not
completely stopped (fall protection).
To remove the tool to the side, the
operating lever (8) must be pulled.
WARNING
Never lift packaged goods on the
strapping, risk of injury.
The strapping is designed in such a
way that it is only intended to secure
the packaged goods during transport,
storage etc.
► Carry out a visual sealing inspection (Section 5.2).
5.2
Checking the seal
WARNING
Never transport or move packaged goods with improperly performed strapping /
notching - serious injuries may result. Perform sealing check after each strapping.
► Perform sealing check by visual inspection.To
obtain the maximum seal efficiency, the not-
ches have to be cut properly (1) into the seal.

Good seal (seal is evenly notched and the
notches are deep enough)

Poor seal (seal not notched deeply enough or
the seal is deformed or has sharp edges)
Poor seal (seal notched unevely)

If notching has not been carried out satisfactorily:
► Perform strapping again.
► In case of faulty seals, the following parts
subject to wear must be replaced:

Notcher (Section 6.5)
●
Jaws (Section 6.5)
► If a good seal is not achieved, the tool must be checked by a service centre.
