4. Security instructions
Protect the device from moisture. Operation outdoors in rain is prohibited. Only use dry media for cleaning and no
solvent-based cleaning agents or lubricants.
The glow wire is very hot. Touching it will inevitably cause burns. Use of protective gloves is recommended. The wire
is under mechanical tension (spring force). Sparks are produced if the glowing wire is torn off. Use of safety glasses is
recommended. There is a risk of fire due to the hot glow wire (ignition source). Keep easily flammable objects away.
GB
If the connection cable (or plug) is defective, it must be replaced immediately. Repairs to electrical
parts may only be performed by a qualified electrician or a STORCH service centre!
Disconnect the device from the power supply before replacing the cutting wire!
Only use special STORCH replacement cutting wire (d = 0.7 mm), art. no. 57 00 48 for the main device and art. no. 57
33 02 for the corner cutter. The use of other wires will result in damage to the device, the transformer and possible fur-
ther consequential damage.
When the device is connected to the mains, the transformer generates heat, even when the device is switched off.
Make sure that this heat can be radiated unhindered and that no heat-sensitive objects are heated up and then
become a source of danger themselves.
The device must only be used if it can be operated safely. When mounted on the scaffolding, the device must only be
mounted to the inside of the scaffolding in the upper bar of the backrest. After attaching the device to the upper bar, it
must be secured against falling by locking the safety catch of the scaffolding holder (rear side of the device). If locking
is not possible or the lower bar of the backrest is missing, the device must not be used! After the unit has been installed
at the place of use, check the stability.
If an installed device is left unattended, secure it against external influences and operation by unauthorised persons.
Disconnect the mains plug. The operator of the device is responsible for ensuring that sources of danger and trip
hazards in the vicinity of the device are eliminated (e.g. unsecured power cables, packaging, etc.).
