Dismantling:
1. Release the shaft tube mounting screw
(23).
2. Push the lock (24).
3. Pull apart the shaft tubes (3 + 6).
Mounting the protective
cover
Never use the device without
the protective cover properly
mounted. There is a risk of injury.
1. Position the protective cover (7) on the
shaft mount (27).
2. Attach the protective cover (7) using
the multi-function key (18) and the two
small screws (25).
Mounting the handles
1. Loosen the star screw (30) and remove
the handle mount (29) from the upper
shaft tube (3).
2. Place the multifunction handle (8) and
handle (5) into the receptor (28) on the
upper shaft tube (3).
3. Fasten the handles (5 + 8) to the han-
dle mount (29) and star screw (30).
Tighten the star screw (30) by hand.
4. Fasten the device cable to the cable
holders (4).
Mounting/replacing the
spool
1. Switch off the motor and remove the
battery from the device.
2. Place the device on the ground in a
stable position.
3. Block the uptake spindle (31) using the
Allen key (17) as depicted.
Screw the spool cap (15) clockwise
from the uptake spindle (31).

4. Open the spool cap (15) by fi rmly
pressing the quick-release catch (38)
inwards on both sides of the spool cap
(15), and remove the spool cap cover.
5. Insert the two ends of the line of the
new spool (33) through the line outlet
loop (32).
6. Place the spool (33) into the spool cap
(15) and allow the cover to latch back
into the spool cap (15).
7. Screw the spool cap (15) anticlockwise
back onto the uptake spindle (31).
Remove the Allen key (17).
8. Pull on both ends of the line to release
the lines from the grooves.
9. Trim the thread line to approx. 15 cm
to release strain on the engine when
starting and warming up.
The washer (35), clamping disk
(36) and nut (37) are not required
for mounting the spool.
Mounting/replacing the
blade
Risk of injury! Caution -
sharp edges!
Wear gloves.
1. Switch off the motor and remove the
battery from the device.
2. Place the device on the ground in a
stable position.
3. Place the 2-tooth blade (16) onto the
uptake spindle (31). The blade can be
used on both sides.
4. Fasten the blade using the multifunction
key (18) and the washer (35), clamp-
ing disk (36) and nut (37).
5. Remove the Allen key (17).
