Getting Started
Becauseof the lower voltage providedby rechargeable batteries (battery 1.5 V, rechargeable
battery 1.2V) andtheir lowercapacity, t he batterylifeis shorter.Forthis reason,we recommend
theproductbe on y usedwith high-quality alkalinebatteriesto ensurea longandsafeoperation
The weather station has a dual power supply.
When it is sufficientlybright indoors, the weather station is powered via the integrated photo-
voltaic cell. The batteriesguaranteeoperationevenwhen it is dark
Therefore, you should set up the weather station, for example, closeto a window,so the photo-
voltaic cell provdes the power for as ong as possibe and the batteries havea longservice life
• Openthe batterycompartment(17)on the undersideof theweatherstation andinsert two batteriesof type
AAAImicro, with the correctpolarity (pay attentionto plus/+ and minus/-).Cose the battery compartment
again
• Move the ONIOFFswitch(20) to the "ON" position(turned on)
In the "OFF" position, the weather station is turned off (e.g. for storage);this resultsin the loss
of all settings (date/ time) and readings
• f the display is blank,press the recessed„RESET"button briefly,for examplewith a paperclip or a tooth-
