DELUXE+ cloth
DLX+ cloth offers increased strength
of the base fabric and a new coating
for reduced porosity. It is also tear-
resistant and retains its material
properties for longer. It is available
in six fresh, eye catching colours.
Reinforcements
The internal construction of the Speed
5 has been redesigned in order to make
the whole canopy structure as strong
as possible. The double sewn and glued
ribs and internal connections are key.
Double Cordwise Ballooning
Double Cordwise Ballooning is minimizing
the creasing of the cells on the kite to an
absolute minimum. With exactly calculated
arc-shaped panel cuts, double-stitched
and glued seams a perfectly smooth,
high performance airfoil is created.
Rigid Foil Technology by Gin
Stiffeners in the front of the profiles en-
sure a smooth, creaseless and stiff top
sail. This gives the kite more performance
and more stability at the same time.
Triple Depower
There are 3 ways the kite achieves
maximum depower: Reducing the angle
of attack, profile change and redu-
cing the projected area. This leads to a
huge wind range and ideal handling.
Free-Repair
We remain true to our FLYSURFER
philosophy to make our products du-
rable. As an additional service we offer
the 12-month free repair warranty.
LIROS Dyneema lines
LIROS are a leading European company
who specialize in high quality technical
rope solutions. Thanks to new Dyneema
core fibers, line diameter is reduced whilst
retaining the original breaking loads.
Optional 5th Line Safety
The 5th line safety (FDS) is optional and
can be ordered through our online-
shop. Attachment points for the FDS are
integrated in the bottom sail of the kite.
Little Connection Lines
These function as predetermined
breaking points in an overload
situation and make it easier to re-
connect the bridle lines.
Air Intakes
The kite fills with air through the in-
takes in the leading edge. As soon as
the kite has enough internal pressure,
the intake valves seal automatically.
Deflate Valve
The kite deflates through the deflate
valve on the trailing edge of the kite.
Automatic Drainage System
Should sand or water get into the
kite, it will automatically be expelled
by the "dirt/water" drainage system.
