Basic functions

4.1

Internal rechargeable battery

The sph xs1 is equipped with a permanently installed
high-performance lithium polymer battery.
4.2

Recharging the battery

Connect the device to the power supply using the
supplied USB cable and plug it into the socket. When
charging, a red battery symbol lights up in the lower
left corner of the unit. When fully charged, the light
changes to green.
Charge the battery before fi rst
Please start up the machine completely.
You can also plug the USB cable into any USB port
(e.g., computer) to charge the device.
You have the possibility to continue using the device
during charging.
4.3

Switching the sph xs1 on

Press the "Power Button" on the left side to switch the
device on. After a short welcome window is displayed
before the main menu opens. The sph xs1 is now fully
operational and measurements can be made.
4.4 Switching the sph xs1 off
By double pressing the "Left" key in the main menu the
device is switched off
"Power Button" on the left side of the device.
4.5

Screen saver

If after a period of 5 minutes no keys are pressed the
device automatically dims the display. The selected
function remains unchanged. By pressing the
the full brightness of the display is restored.
