To enable a
reliable and consistent calibration the
PTB standard is fi tted into a dust
proof housing - the calibration cap.
The white PTB standard for the 45°/0° probe
head is made of a very mat surface. Please keep
the surface clean and free from damages. If the
surface is dirty or damaged the absolute values will
be aff ected. This is critical when measuring against
stored standards.

Gloss meter - optional

The XS1 has an optional 60° gloss meter
3.4 Optional Digital-Code Camera
The XS1 spectrophotometer has an optional integrated
data matrix scanner. The internal camera can read any
modern 1D and 2D codes and is used to program the
XS1 with information about the colour sample being
measure
