working correctly or results do not correspond to the
device specifi cations, please contact the ColorLite

Care and maintenance

9.1

Casing

Special maintenance of the casing is not necessary.
To clean use only a damp cloth. Avoid the use of
cleansers, abrasives or solvents.
9.2

Probe head

Special maintenance of the probe head is also not
necessary. To clean use only a fi ne-haired brush to
remove dust and impurities from the sensor opening.
To clean the housing, use only a damp cloth. Avoid
the use of cleansers, abrasives or solvents.
9.3

PTB-Standard

To provide a reliable and stable calibration, the PTB
Standard is fi tted into a cap precisely matching
the diameter of the probe head. To protect the PTB
Standard from dirt, always close the cap immediately
after use.
Touching or attempting to clean the surface of
the PTB Standard, can make it unusable and
result in invalid readings!
9.4

Service

The ColorLite GmbH off ers a comprehensive service and
maintenance support for the sph xs1 and its accessories.
A regular service by the ColorLite GmbH, depending on
application intensity is recommended every 1 - 2 years.
