D Fitting spare parts
1.
Detaching the cover (1) and electronics box (4)
To replace components first remove the cover (1) with both hands
by holding the sides at the bottom and pulling it away from the
wall with a slight jerk (as when changing the battery). Remove the
batteries from the battery compartment. Unscrew the shower
hose. Undo the 2 fastening screws (2) and fold the electronics box
(4) away from the wall. Disconnect the cable connectors from the
actuator units (16) and (11). To do so, press the latch on top of the
connector and pull it. Withdraw the connector on the sensor
cable (13) from the electronics box.
If any components have to be replaced on the valve body it is
absolutely essential that you first close the hot and cold water main
stopcock.
2.
Changing the 1/2 inch cartridge (14)
Dismantle as described in paragraph 1. Undo the two M 4x12
screws (12) on the actuator unit (16). Pull out the unit. Undo
clamping screw (14) and withdraw toothed wheel (15). The 1/2
inch cartridge can now be changed. Tighten up the cartridge with
a torque of approx. 20 Nm, fit the toothed wheel, tighten up the
clamping screws and turn the top part anticlockwise to the Closed
position, open up the supply pipes again and check the valve to
make sure there are no leaks. Then refit the actuator unit and
tighten it up. Connect up and fit the electronics housing, batteries
etc. as described in paragraphs 8 to 11 of B Installation Instructions.
Setting: Set the minimum flow again as described in paragraph 4.4
of
C Putting into Operation.
3.
Changing the thermostat cartridge (8)
Dismantle as described in paragraph 1. Undo the two M 4x12
screws on the actuator unit control (11). Withdraw the unit. Uns-
crew the temperature adjuster (10). Now the thermostat cartridge
can be changed. Tighten up the new thermostat cartridge with a
torque of approx. 20 Nm. Open up the supply pipes again and
check to make sure there are no leaks. Screw on the temperature
adjuster (10) manually until there is slight resistance (it is not
necessary to align the temperature adjuster). Then refit the
actuator unit control and tighten up. Connect up and fit the
electronics box, batteries etc. as described in paragraphs 8 to 11 of
B Installation Instructions.
Setting: First allow hot water to run in programme 1 until the display
stops flashing and then wait for approx. 20 seconds.
Then, with unit switched off, press buttons
approx. 5 seconds until there is a beep.
The unit now adjusts itself between hot and cold to find your basic
setting (the displays are of no relevance to you). The basic setting
has been found when the unit closes by itself. Then press the OFF
button. After a self-test of approx. 20 seconds the unit now
indicates programme 1 and the unit can be used.
