10 Battery information and safety

10.1 General information

Correct polarity must be observed while inserting the (rechargeable) batteries.

If you do not plan to use the product for an extended period, remove the (rechargeable) batteries to prevent dam-

age from leaking. Leaking or damaged (rechargeable) batteries may cause acid burns if they come into contact
with your skin. Therefore, use suitable protective gloves when handling damaged (rechargeable) batteries.
(Rechargeable) batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave (rechargeable) batteries lying around,

as there is a risk that children or pets may swallow them.
All (rechargeable) batteries should be replaced at the same time. Mixing old and new (rechargeable) batteries in

the device can lead to (rechargeable) battery leakage and device damage.
(Rechargeable) batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire. Never attempt to recharge

non-rechargeable batteries. This may cause an explosion!

10.2 Transmitter

Using rechargeable batteries in the transmitter results in a significantly shorter battery life due to the lower voltage

(nominal voltage: non-rechargeable battery = 1.5 V, rechargeable battery = 1.2 V). For this reason, always use
non-rechargeable batteries in the transmitter.
Always exchange the entire set of batteries in the transmitter. Do not mix full batteries with half-full ones. Always

use batteries of the same type and from the same manufacturer.
If you do not plan to use the quadcopter for an extended period (e.g. during storage), remove the batteries from

the transmitter to prevent them from leaking and causing damage.

10.3 Drone/flight battery

This product must only be used with the supplied 1-cell Li-ion flight battery (nominal voltage 3.7 V) or an equivalent

replacement flight battery.
For extended periods of non-use (e.g. storage), disconnect the flight battery from the drone. Otherwise, the battery

may go into deep discharge, which can cause permanent damage. Remove the flight battery from the quadcopter
to prevent it from leaking and causing damage. Charge the rechargeable battery regularly, even if you are not
using the product. Due to the rechargeable battery technology being used, you do not need to discharge the
rechargeable battery first.
Keep the flight battery out of the reach of children. Children may accidentally short circuit the battery, which can

cause a fire or an explosion. Danger of death!
Dispose of the rechargeable battery properly and replace it with a new one if it is deformed (inflated) after pro-

longed non-use.
Never damage the battery. Damaging the casing of the rechargeable battery might cause an explosion or a fire!

Unlike conventional (rechargeable) batteries (e.g. AA or AAA type), the casing of the Li-ion rechargeable battery
does not consist of a thin sheet but rather a sensitive plastic film only.
Use only the supplied USB charger and a dedicated USB power adaptor or a USB port of your personal computer

to charge the flight battery.
Let the battery cool down after use before charging it again.

Never charge the battery when inside the drone.

Never leave the battery unattended when it is charging.
