INSTALLATION
Initial start-up
f Using an open-ended spanner to counterhold the connection
on the hot water boiler, connect the long red-marked con-
nection hose to the DHW outlet connection on the hot water
boiler.

f Unscrew the aerator from the spout.
f Open the angle valve on the cold water line.
f Check all connections for tightness.
f Set the mixing valve on the tap, or the tap operating lever,
to "hot" and draw off water until it runs free of bubbles and
debris. This may take up to two minutes.
f Set the mixing valve on the tap, or the tap operating lever, to
"cold" and draw off water until it runs free of bubbles.
f Turn off the tap.
f Screw the aerator back onto the spout.
f Connect the hot water boiler to the power supply.

Depending on the supply pressure and the nominal capacity of the
small water heater, you may need to fit the restrictor and also turn
the angle valve towards the closed position to reduce the flow rate.

f Set the tap to "hot" and use a measuring jug and a stopwatch
to measure the maximum flow rate when the tap is fully
opened.
f If the flow rate is too high, fit the restrictor, unshortened,
into the blue-marked connection hose on the angle valve.
f Measure the flow rate again.
Property damage
If the supply pressure is too high, this can pressurise the
vented small water heater and result in leaks.
f Measure the flow rate.
f If the flow rate is too high, reduce it with the restric-
tor.
f Only aerators for non-pressurised taps suitable for
use with vented hot water boilers should be used.
