2.1
Intended use
The product is intended for use with non-pressurised hot water
boilers, e.g. for vented small water heaters and vented mini in-
stantaneous water heaters.
This product is designed for domestic use. It can be used safely
by untrained persons. The appliance can also be used in non-do-
mestic environments, e.g. in small businesses, as long as it is
used in the same way.
Any other use beyond that described shall be deemed to be out-
side the intended use. Observation of these instructions and of
instructions for any accessories used is also part of the intended
use of this appliance.

General safety instructions
WARNING Burns
During operation, the tap can reach temperatures in ex-
cess of 60 °C.
There is a risk of scalding at outlet temperatures in ex-
cess of 43 °C.

Whilst the water in the hot water boiler is being heated,
expansion water will drip from the spout.
Scale build-up can block the spout and thus subject the
hot water boiler to pressure.
f Never seal or block the spout.
f Only aerators for non-pressurised taps suitable for
use with vented hot water boilers should be used.
2.3
Test mark
In line with [German] State Building Regulations, a general test
certificate for the appliance has been applied for as verification
of its suitability regarding noise emissions.

Operation
MAE-K and MAE-W
f To obtain the required mix of hot and cold water, turn the tap
lever to one side or the other.
f To draw off water, push the tap lever upwards.
