DISASSEMBLY
Cautions on Disassembly

(A)
Follow the below-mentioned
notes when disassembling the
unit and reassembling
it, to keep its safety and excellent
performance:

. Be sure to remove the power supply plug from the wall
outlet before starting to disassemble the unit.
. Take cassette tape out of the cassette holder.
. Take off nylon bands or wire holders where they need
be removed when disassembling the unit. After servicing
the unit, be sure to rearrange the leads where they were
before disassembling.
. Take
sufficient care on static electricity of integrated
circuits and other circuits when servicing.

1. Remove five screws
© from the cabinet (two at the right,
two at the left and one at the rear), and the cabinet can be
detached from the unit. (See Figure 4-1)

1. Turn the unit over, remove two screws

plate. Then the bottom
plate can be opened

Prior to this removal, open the cassette holder.
1. Remove two screw

back of the mechanism

3. Pull two sockets

out of the main P.W. Board. (See
Figure 4-3)

4. Take the tape counter drive belt © and Record/Playback
selector lod spring
@ off the mechanism block. (See Figure
4-3)

Then the mechanism block can be removed.

1. Pull two sockets

out of the main P.W. Board. (See
Figure 4-3)
2. Remove six screws (D at the bottom of the unit. (See Figure
4-2)

3. Remove two screws G) at the side surface of the unit. (See
Figure 4-4)
