4.2 Adjusting of the water softener

You must adjust the water-softener manually; please use the water-softener dial. The
water softener removes minerals and salts which may have a negative effect on the
performance of the appliance. The higher these components are the harder the water
is. Adjust the water softener relevant to the water hardness at your residence as
described below:
1. Open the door and switch on the appliance.
2. Press the programme button for more than 5 seconds within 60 seconds after
you have switched on the appliance. The water softener setting-mode starts. The
indicator of the water softener and rinse aid goes will flash regularly.
3. Press the programme button to adjust the water softener. The sequence of the
setting is H1-H2-H3-H4-H5-H6.
4. Press the ON/OF button to stop the setting.

3. Now you can add dishes.
4. When you close the door, the
appliance starts operating after 10
seconds.
If you have switched off the appliance during operation,
re-select the previous programme when switching on the
appliance again and operate it according to the original
power-on status.
When the programme has ended, an acoustic signal sounds
8 times; thereafter, switch off the appliance using the
ON/OFF button.
CAUTION! Wait approx. 15 minutes before you
unload the dish racks!
When a programme has ended the dishes are still hot and
will break easily. They will also dry better. Unload the
lower rack first.
