Switching the cooking zone
on and setting the heat level
Requirement: The hob is switched on.
1. To switch on a cooking zone, touch the
respective cooking zone sensor (7).
The cooking zone indicator will flash and
show the selected heat level "
2. To set the desired heat level, swipe your
finger over the cooking zone sensor until
the desired heat level is displayed.
Once the cooking zone indicator is con-
stantly lit, the heat level is set.
Switching off cooking zones
1. To switch off a cooking zone, touch the
respective cooking zone sensor (7).
The indicator for that cooking zone will
flash.
Using and caring for the hob
2. Swipe your finger to the left over the
cooking zone sensor until the cooking
zone display shows "
The cooking zone is now turned off.
". Cooking zone is not heating

If the " " symbol flashes in the cooking zone
indicator, there is no heating. This may be
caused by the following:
– The cookware is not placed on the correct
cooking zone.
– The cookware being used is not suitable
for induction hobs.
– The cookware is too small or is not centred
on the cooking zone.
– You lifted the pot from the cooking zone. As
soon as you replace the pot on the cooking
zone, the previously selected heat setting
will be displayed again.
Booster function
Risk of burns!
Removing the pot/pan from the cook-
ing zone will not switch off the function.
■ Select another heating level to switch
off the function.
The booster function is advisable, for exam-
ple, for rapid searing or boiling water. It is also
suitable for fast boiling and continued cooking
at a reduced temperature.
