1. Operating Instructions
1.1 Appliance description
The installation of the heating flange and first
commissioning may only be carried out by
a qualified installer, who accordingly takes
responsibility for proper performance and
fitting.
The disconnection temperature can be set
steplessly between approx. 35 °C and 82 °C.
For reasons of economy it should be limited
to about 60 °C. If desired, the installer can set
another temperature range.
Depending on the operating mode, the water
content will be heated to the pre-set tempe-
rature.
Single-circuit operation FCR 21/120 and
FCR 21/60:
Depending on the power supply, automatic
follow-up heating will take place.
Two-circuit operation, only FCR 21/60:
For this operating mode, the heating flange
provides basic heating, which automatically
heats up the water content during off-peak
times.
Rapid heating can be switched on if required
by pressing the button A (2). When the preset
temperature is reached, the rapid heating will
switch off and not switch on again.
The time required for heating up depends on
the storage content, cold water temperature,
and heating capacity.

1.2 Operation
The desired temperature can be set by turning
the temperature selector A (1). Rapid heating
can be switched on if required by pressing the
button A (2). When the preset temperature is
reached, the rapid heating will switch off and
not switch on again.

= Cold. At this setting, the storage tank is
protected against freezing, but not the
tap or the water pipe
I = Approx. 40 °C
E
= Recommended energy saving setting
(approx. 60 °C), lower limescale forma-
tion
III = Approx. 82 °C, max. adjustable tempe-
rature.
Due to the design of the system, the tempera-
tures may deviate from the maximum value.
If the temperature is reached, the appliance
switches off in single-circuit operation, and
during off-peak/low-tariff periods in two-
circuit operation, if required, it will switch off
again. To interrupt heating up, the tempera-
ture selector is to be turned to the • setting.
1.3 Important notes
· If the heating flange is being used,
the water storage heater is under
mains water pressure
• During heating up, water will drip out of
the safety group.0 water continues to drip
If
out of the safety group after heating up has
been completed, the device must be swit-
ched off and depressurized, and a qualified
installer called.
• The blow-out line of the safety group must
not be closed.
• With temperature settings of greater than
45 °C, water at high temperature may start
flowing immediately.
• If it is intended that children or persons
with restricted physical, sensory, or mental
capacity should operate the appliance, it
must be ensured that this is only done after
appropriate instruction has been provided by
the person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the device.
Risk of scalding!
1.4 Maintenance
If the heating flange is installed in a sanitary
water heating system, the following points are
to be borne in mind:
Almost all water precipitates limescale at high
temperatures. This scale will be deposited on
the heating elements in particular, and must
from time to time be removed by a qualified
installer.
