Warning! Work performed incorrectly can cause serious injury & damage! The
activities being described in the following may only be performed by trained
service staff! Observe the safety rules in the Operating Instructions of the power
source.
Warning! An electric shock can be fatal. Before opening up the autotransformer:
-
shift the main switch to the - O - position
-
unplug mains cable
-
put up a clearly legible and easy-to-understand warning sign to stop
anybody inadvertently switching it back on again.
After opening the machine, discharge any electrically charged components (e.g.
capacitors).

Detach strain relief at mains cable
Equip the phase conductors of the power source connection cable with appropriate
sleeves
Note! When clamping the strain relief (1) within the vise, do not damage the
strain relief. If not sure, use underlay jaws.
Clamp strain relief (1) within an appropriate vise
Push mains cable into the strain relief (1)
Tighten clamp nut of the strain relief:
width-across = 30 mm

Shift main switch to the - O - position

Take of the cover of the autotransfor-
mer

Strip about 150 mm (6 in.) of the
mains cable for autotransformer
green
Note! Using no appropriate
sleeves can cause short circuits
between the phase conductors.
Equip all phase conductors of the
stripped power source connection
cable with the appropriate slee-
ves.
