'Notes on Connections'
On the connection to VIDEO 1 of the SB-V66S
Be sure to connect the video unit with the S VIDEO jack to
the VIDEO 1 jack of the SB-V66S. Also connect the cables
to both the VIDEO INPUT and OUTPUT jacks.
On the connection of a TV (monitor
© Be sure to use a TV (monitor) with S VIDEO jacks (two or
more sets of input jacks in total). In this case, connect the
cables to the TV's (monitor's) VIDEO INPUT jack, as well
as to the TV's (monitor's)
S VIDEO jack.
© If the TV (monitor) is equipped with 'two sets of input
jacks, the S VIDEO and VIDEO output from the SB-V66S
should be connected separately to each set of input jacks
on a TV (monitor) (e.g. to VIDEO 1 and VIDEO 2).
© If the TV (monitor) is equipped with an S VIDEO/VIDEO
selector, set the selector according to the type of signal to
be used (S VIDEO or VIDEO).
On the connections to VIDEO 2, 3, and 4
© For video units with the S VIDEO jacks, use the S VIDEO
and audio jacks only.
© If the video unit connected to VIDEO 2 is equipped with
an S VIDEO/VIDEO selector, set it to S VIDEO.
'Notes on Monitoring Pictures from
'the Video Units
© The input selector of the TV (monitor) should be set to the
appropriate position as follows:
—When you monitor the picture from the video unit with
S VIDEO jack, set the input selector of the TV (monitor)
to the position corresponding to the input where the
connection is made with S VIDEO signal (i.e. VIDEO 1
in the Example 2).
—When you monitor the picture from the video unit
without a S VIDEO jack, set the input selector of the
TV (monitor) to the position corresponding to the input
where the connection is made with normal VIDEO
signal (i.e. VIDEO 2 in the Example 2).
¢ Connections shown in Example 2 allow you to monitor the
picture from the video unit 1 regardless of the TV's
(monitor's) input selector setting. When the selector is set
to VIDEO 1, the pictures through the S VIDEO jack can
be monitored, and when it is set to VIDEO 2, the pictures
through the VIDEO jack can be monitored.

an S VIDEO/VIDEO selector and when copying is to be
made from the video unit which is not equipped with the

jack of the unit connected to VIDEO 1. Otherwise, copying
is not made because the S VIDEO input jack is
automatically selected when both the S VIDEO and
VIDEO inputs are connected. When copying from the

necessary to remove the cable.
