REPLACING THE BACKFLOW PREVENTER
Disassembly of the backflow preventer is necessary in case of a defect and if the backflow preventer
cartridge is dirty and needs to be cleaned.
EXCHANGE OF THE RV 2
1. Pull off the
insulation shell off.
3. Close the shut-off
valve on the outlet
side.
5. Pull the lower
part of the housing
downwards.
7. Make sure that
the two pins of the
tool engage with
the tabs of the
cartridge.
9. Turn the tool over
and place the tool
on the backflow
preventer 2 from
above.

2. Press the HotKey
button 2x to deac-
tivate filling and
close the input-side
shut-off valve.
4. Loosen the 4
hexagon socket
screws.
6. Place the tool on
the backflow pre-
venter cartridge (1)
from above and turn
the tool clockwise
(2).
8. Pull out the cart-
ridge while gently
turning it and, if
necessary, clean the
cartridge with clean
drinking water.
10. Make sure that
the recesses of the
tool engage with the
studs of the RV 2.
