B. MANUAL
TUNING
FM Stereo "ST" Indicator
[luminates
when
the
FM
radio
is
being
broadcast
in "FM stereo".
Up/Down Manual Tuning Pushbuttons (TUNE)
Tune in to the desired radio station frequency.
'NOTE:
When
you
hold the button
for more
than half a second, the
tuning frequency
will count
up or down
rapidly. The tuning
will stop instantly as soon as you let go.

Each time you push the manual TUNE
"D" down or TUNE ''U" up pushbutton, the frequency display will count down
or up according to the radio band, as described below:

: 9 kHz each push (For ex., 531-—540—549—

NOTE:
The"

"and
" 8 " indicate 25, 50 and 75 kHz frequency, respectively.
Mono Button (MONO)

Light comes
on
when
the button
is switched
to ''mono"
mode.
Switch
the button
on
in weak
FM
signal areas
to
obtain clear FM reception (monaural). Push the button again
(off position) for normal FM stereo reception, and the light
goes out.

Local/Distant Sensitivity Button (LOC)
Light
comes
on
when
the button
is switched
to "local"
mode.
While
seek tuning,
if you
feel there are too
many
stations
{even weak
ones)
being received, switch the button on to
receive
nearby
local stations only.
Push
the button
again
(off position)
for distant
radio stations, and the light goes
out,

Seek Tuning Pushbutton (PUSH SEEK)
Each time you
push the button, seek tuning
is automatically
done and will stop on the broad-
casting
radio
station.
If the
button
is pushed
again, the
next
radio
station
will
come
out
automatically. The seek tuning will count up in sequence only.
