OPERATION
OF CONTROLS
1. BEFORE USE
Before use, make sure to push eject button.

(|) Power Switch/Volume Control/Balance Control (SW* VOL/PULL BAL)
Power Switch:
Turn
the knob clockwise to switch the power
to the unit on. The display panel shows the radio
frequency. To switch the power to the unit off, turn the knob fully counterclockwise until a click is
heard.
Volume Control:
Adjust volume
to the desired
level with this knob. Turn the knob
clockwise to increase volume;
and counterclockwise to decrease volume. For your driving safety, keep the volume level low enough
to be aware of road and traffic conditions.
Balance Control:
To adjust stereo balance, pull the knob and turn it clockwise or counterclockwise until sound from
,
the left and right speakers is about equal from your listening position,
@) Bass/Treble Tone Controls (BASS/TRE)
Normally set the bass and treble controls to their center positions.
Bass
Bass Control:
= Turn
the
knob
clockwise
or counterclockwise
for the desired bass tone.
Treble Control:
Turn
the knob
clockwise
or counterclockwise

for the desired treble tone.
(3) Loudness Control (LOUD)
This
control
is devised
to compensate
human
hearing
deficiency
in high
and
low frequency
regions
when
volume
is low,
Switch
on
the
loudness
when
listening
at
low
volume;
and.
when
listening at high volume,
switch
off the
loudness.

Turn the control clockwise (from the center position ) to hear sound from the speakers connected to this unit, Turn the'

to hear sound from the additional
speakers connected through a separate power amplifier
(via the "PRE-AMP OUTPUT CONNECTOR")

|f four speakers are connected, adjust the fader control for sound balance between speakers (front/rear).
3. LISTENING
TO THE RADIO
A. BAND SELECTION
Band Selector (LW —-MW —FM)(L/M/U)
Each time you
push the button, the band will be selected.
The radio frequency appears on the display panel.
NOTE:
For
"VF"
Reception
(see Section
4, push the BK
button. However, if the band selector is pushed, the
previously tuned
radio band
(LW, MW
or FM) will
be received again.
Frequency Ranges:
LW
: 153 kHz - 281 kHz
MW
: 531 kHz - 1602 kHz
FM
: 87.5 MHz - 108 MHz
