For opening and closing the tray.
@ Emergency ejection hole
If the tray will not eject normally,
power off the
computer and insert a long straight object between
1.2 and 1.4 millimeters (ie) thick and 55 or more
millimeters (2°%6' or more) long (such as a paper
clip that has been bent straight) into this hole. E
This causes the shutter to open slightly. Use your
hand to open up the shutter, and pull out the tray
horizontally using your finger tips.
Note that it may not be possible to eject the tray
unless the object inserted into the hole is straight.
«To return the tray which has been pulled out, turn
on the computer's power, and press the eject but-
ton.
(Depending on the position where the tray has
been pulled out, the tray may be retracted inside
the unit as soon as the power is turned on.)
Do not use this procedure under normal cir-
cumstances since trouble occurs as a result.
@ PD/CD identification lamp
Lights up green:
when a CD or CD-ROM is installed
Lights up orange:
when a PD cartridge is installed
© Busy lamp
This flashes when the drive is being accessed.
Green:
CD or CD-ROM play
PD cartridge read
Orange: PD cartridge write
