Setting the return spring
CAUTION: Wear safety goggles and gloves when adjusting the return spring. If the return spring
detaches from the return spring cover and unwinds quickly, there is a risk of cuts or impact injuries.
Setting the height of the drilling table
HOLZMANN MASCHINEN GmbH
NOTE:
The return spring has been adjusted at the factory and
usually requires no further adjustment. If an adjustment is
nevertheless required, proceed as follows:
Loosen the set screw (1), then dismantle the spindle pul-
•
ley.
Remove the two screws (2) on the underside of the ma-
•
chine head and remove the cover (3).
Pull out the operation panel (4) upwards.
•
Dismantle the set screw (5).
•
•
Lower the spindle (6) by operating the spindle travel han-
dle (7) until it disengages from the gear.
o
The tension of the return spring is increased by turn-
ing the spindle travel lever further downwards.
o
The tension of the return spring is reduced by turn-
ing the spindle travel lever upwards.
•
After adjusting the return spring tension, the spindle
travel lever (7) must still be held in place. The spindle (6)
can now be reinserted.
Assemble in reverse order.
•
•
Loosen the fixing lever (1).
Now the height of the drilling table can be set.
•
NOTE:
Set the height of the drilling table so that the distance
between the drill bit tip and the surface of the workpiece to
be machined is no more than 5 mm.
•
Then secure the drilling table with the fixing lever (1).
