The components must be left for the remaining time – the adhesive

sealant must dry properly. Remove the pieces of adhesive tape once
this time has elapsed.
Provide the customer with the following information when hand-
ing over the vehicle (fig. 13).
For 48 hours after the strips have been adhered, the instructions below must be followed:
› Do not drive faster than 100 km/h, as the components must not be mechanically
stressed in any way.
› Do not drive the vehicle through a car wash.
These instructions must be followed in order to ensure that the strips are adhered to the
front bumper in line with quality requirements.
The strips must be maintained and cleaned in accordance with the instructions in the Own-
er's Manual ("General Maintenance" section). When using a pressure washer (dirt blaster) to
wash the vehicle, proceed with extreme care in the area around the strips that have been
adhered to the bumper.
The strips are purely a decorative accessory. Mechanical wear of the adhered strips during
ordinary driving (e.g. damage/scratches from stones and road debris, scuffing from kerbs or
frozen snow, etc.) does not constitute grounds for a complaint.
Fitting the strips increases the total length of the vehicle by 2 mm. This information is
used by transport authorities for subsequent entry in the registration document. You
must comply with the country-specific statutory regulations.
The part with part number 3V0 071 004 is located on a surface which, for technical rea-
sons, is inaccessible after fitting. Please retain these instructions for the entire service
life of this product.
