Please note: The strips for the left- and right-hand sides of the
EN
vehicle are different – make sure you adhere the correct strip to each
side.
Adhesion procedure

› Place the vehicle on the arms of the workshop lifting platform and raise it accordingly.
› Clean the surface of the front bumper where the strips are to be adhered with a solution of
mild soapy water and rinse it with clean water. Then clean and degrease the surface with a
suitable cleaning agent (we recommend Terostat 8550). Leave to dry for 10 minutes.
Please note: Ensure that the entire surface of the front bumper
where the strips are to be adhered is completely free from dirt and
moisture.

› Use a suitable touch-up paint pen to mark lines (see arrows) starting from the end (edge)
of the front bumper (use the measurement indicated in the detail) as a guide to allow the
strips to be correctly positioned on the front bumper.
› Start by placing the strips in the correct position on the front bumper, such that they line up
with one another horizontally and the gap between the strips measures 0 mm.
› Then use the current position of the strips to mark on the lines.
› Use a touch-up paint pen to mark where the upper edges of the strips should come up to in
several places to guide you when you come to adhere them. Mark vertical lines to allow the
position of the strips to be checked when adhering them (see arrows).
› Check that the strips are positioned correctly at the edges and in the middle.
› Three people are required to carry out this step.
Please note: Make sure that the strip is positioned correctly; the gap
between the strips must measure 0 mm, and at the same time, the
strips must follow the outline of the front bumper (correct position
shown in section A - A).

› Clean and degrease the inner surfaces of each of the chrome strips where indicated (see
arrows) using Terostat 8550 cleaning agent. Leave to dry for 10 minutes.
Please note: The surface where the components are to be adhered
must be completely free from grease and any other dirt.

› Trim the Terostat MS 9360 adhesive sealant (D) nozzle as shown in the figure, such that the
inner diameter of the nozzle is approximately 5 mm. Apply a bead of adhesive sealant with a
diameter of 5 mm to the prepared surface of the strip where indicated in the figure.
› Two people are required to carry out this step.
