4. Commissioning and operation

Danger to life from missing instrument grounding
With missing or incorrect grounding, there exists a risk of dangerous
voltages (leading to, for example, mechanical damage, electrostatic
charge or induction).

5. Special conditions of use (X-conditions)
1)
Restrictions in ambient and process media temperatures
Design temperatures:
Permissible ambient temperature at case: Tamb: -20 ...+60 °C
Permissible process media temperature:
Instruments with and without liquid filling: max. 205 °C/ 400°F.
Observe the surface temperature for ATEX application:
The permissible media temperature does depend on the instrument design, and
the ignition temperature of the surrounding gases, vapours or dusts.

Restrictions in permissible surface temperature
Maximum surface temperature
The surface temperature depends on the medium temperature of the application
and the solar irradiation. For prevention, consider the maximum medium
temperature as maximum surface temperature, if it is not possible to determine the
real surface temperature even in the case of expected malfunctions.
