3 Product Overview

3.1 Intended Use

Aquatec ORCA, ORCA F and ORCA XL are battery powered
bath lifts, providing an aid to enter or go out from a bathtub.
It is composed of a seat plate (with side flaps integrated)
with anti-slip surface and a remote control controlling the
seat to go up or down. ORCA and ORCA XL have a rigid
backrest that can be lowered. ORCA F has a fixed backrest.
Several components like seat- and backrest covers are
optionally available.
Intended Users
Users are any person with restricted or limited mobility. If
used without an assistant, the users must be able to keep
their own balance.
Indications
• Restricted or limited mobility (e.g. legs and/or hips) or
• having balance issue to stand up or walk due to
transitional or permanent disabilities.
There are no contraindications known when using the
product as intended. For the maximum user weight, see
10 Technical Data, page 26.
