Operation

1. Fill the fuel container of the grill half
with charcoal or briquettes.
2. Place the electric grill lighter inclu-
ding the coiled filaments (1) on the
fuel. Make sure the handle (3) is
located outside the fuel container.
3. Stack the second layer of fuel onto
the filaments (1). Make sure the
fuel does not get in contact with the
handle (3).
4. Connect the mains plug to a suitable
wall socket.
Danger Risk of burning!
The grill lighter becomes very
hot during use. Touch the de-
vice by its handle (3) only.
5. Disconnect the mains plug once the
fuel starts glowing after approx. 10 to
15 minutes.
6. Hold the lighter at its heat-isolated
handle (3) and then carefully lift it up
from the glowing fuel.
7. Place the hot grill lighter on the shelf
(2) to let it cool down.
8. Distribute the fuel evenly inside the
fuel container. To do so, use a suita-
ble fireproof tool with a long fireproof
handle.
9. Put the food on the grill, once the
fuel is covered with a light ash layer.

Cleaning and
maintenance
Your grill lighter has been made of high-
quality materials. To clean and maintain
the surfaces, please heed the following
instructions:
Danger Risk of burning!
Disconnect the mains plug and
let the grill lighter cool down
completely before cleaning.
Health hazard!
Do not use any paint solvents or
thinners to remove stains. Such
liquids are hazardous to health
and may not come into contact
with food.
Attention Risk of damage!
Do not use any strong or abra-
sive solvents or scouring pads
as such products attack the
grill's surfaces and leave per-
manent markings.
• Never immerse the grill lighter in water
or other liquids.
• Use a damp cloth and, if necessary,
some mild cleaning detergent to clean
the surface of the device.
• Dry all components carefully after
cleaning before further use.
• It is normal for the surface of the grill
lighter to oxidize after prolonged use.
• For extended periods of disuse, store
the device at a dry location shielded
from dust and direct sunlight.
• ImpORTANT: Always protect the grill
lighter from moisture during storage.
