method
1. To reset the timer microprocessor
(Fig. 4)
The timer microprocessor
is not reset even when
the main
lead
is unplugged
from the AC outlet
because
it is backed up by the backup
circuit.
Press $1730 on the FSW board to reset the timer
microprocessor.
However,
if the reset
switch
is pressed with
the main lead unplugged from the AC outlet,
the
preset values
of the level
meter
and slow
tracking will be drifted
(the level meter
indicates over 0 dB even if there is no audio
signal).
In this case,
re-plug
the main
lead
into an AC
outlet
to turn the VCR on and press
the reset
switch
again to restore
the normal
sate.

2. To release the blue background function
1) Press the MENU button of the remote control
to display the guide menu on the monitor TV.
2) Select "2" so the VCR mode setting menu is
displayed.
3) Select "1" to specify AUTO BLUE [OFF].
3. To set to the test mode
Short TP1103
(GND) on the PRE board and TP503
(TEST) on the HFA board to set the EP playback
state (test mode).
4. To set the sensor
door
to the manual
mode
1) Turn the operate
switch
off without
inserting
a cassette.
(Plug the main lead into an AC
outlet to turn the VCR on.)
2) Press
the rewind button
and hold
it, then
press
the eject button.
3) To switch
from the manual
mode
to the
automatic
mode,
press
the fast forward
button
and hold
it, then press
the eject button.
5 To use the VCR with
the sensor
door open
(Door open mode)
1) Press the stop button of the VCR and hold it,
then press the eject button of the VCR.
{To release the door open mode)
1) Press the stop button of the VCR again and
hold it, then press the eject button of the
VCR.
