{Operating playback VTR and record VTR)

Editing starts. The playback VTR (this VTR) and
record VTR operate automatically as follows.

@ ff a mistake is made while setting a programme
If a mistake is made during the setting of start and
end points, correct it by the following steps.
1. Press the -] button.
* Every time the -] button is pressed, the
programming procedure moves back step
once at a time. Go back to the step which is
to be corrected and will flash on and off.
2. Correct the programme contents.
« To correct the finish point, for example,
reprogramme the finish point using the
procedures in step 3 on page 51.
* Reprogramme any subsequent corrections.

The operation above is repeated up to the end
of the programmed editing section, the
playback VTR then stops and the record VTR
enters the record pause.
*
Press the stop button on the record VTR and
then press the EDIT button on the playback VTR
to release the editing mode.
» When the cassettes are ejected, the
programmed contents are erased.
@ Cautions during editing
* The message "ERROR" may appear on the TV
screen when editing starts. If that happens, the
programme displayed and subsequent
programmes will not be executed. Reset the
programmes and then edit.
¢ Editing may operate incorrectly if there is an
unrecorded section between the start point and
a point about 30 seconds before it, or if the
recording mode is switched in SP and LP.
*
Editing may be inaccurate if there is a 40-minute
or more interval between programmes, or if a
programme is less than 15 seconds long.
* If some VTR models are for recording, it will
stop if they are left in record pause mode for
five minutes. Take care not to leave a VTR in
the record pause for five minutes.

The playback VTR starts play 10 seconds before
the programmed start point.
"PROCEED" flashes
on and off for a few seconds before the start point
and then it goes out.
Bi To correct part of programmed contents
After the programmed contents have been
checked by the steps in 5 on page 51, perform the
following steps to change some of the contents.
(Example: correct the end point of programme 4)
1. Press the [=] button.
*
Press the [-} button repeatedly until the
section that is to be changed flashes.
2. Correct the programme.
* Correct programmes using the same steps as
in 2 of "If a mistake is made while setting a
programme".
+ After the corrections flash, perform steps 6
and 7 on page 51 and 52.
@ Adding programmes after checking the
programmed contents
After checking the programmed contents, perform
the following steps to input additional
programmes.
1. Press the (=) button repeatedly until the start
point of an unused programme number flashes
on and off.
2. Set the programme.
* Perform steps 4 to 7 on pages 51 and 52.
@ To erase some contents after programmes have
been input
After checking the programmed contents, perform
the following steps to erase part of those contents.
1. Press the (=) button repeatedly until the start
point of an unwanted programme number
flashes on and off.
2. Press the [E) button.
Programme 3 is now erased.
Perform steps 5 to 7 on pages 51 and 52.
