Press "3" to change the endless play setting.
{ONI:
You can play the tape from the beginning
to the end repeatedly.
While in the endless
play mode, you can perform still play,
frame advance, visual search, etc.,
however, this does not mean the endless
play feature is switched off. To switch off
the endiess play feature, you must select
{OFF] with this display.
[OFF]: The endless play feature is switched off.
Press "7" to change the door auto setting.
[AUTO]: The VTR senses that a cassette is close
using a photo-sensor and slides the
cassette door down automatically.
[OFF]:
The above function does not operate.
Note: if the DOOR AUTO display is set to [OFF],
you have to press the EJECT/OPEN button on the
VTR or EJECT button on the remote contro!
handset to open and close the cassette door.
Press "4" to change the remote code setting.
This display lets you control your VTR with the "1"
or "2" position of the VTR 1/VTR 2/TV switch on
the remote contro! handset.
This is convenient when you want to add another
Hitachi VTR to your system, and control both VTRs
with the same handset.
The "VTR 1" position of the VTR 1/VTR 2/TV
switch on the handset will control the VTR to
which [1] was assigned with this display, and the
"VTR 2" position will control the VTR to which [2]
was assigned with this display.
{1}:
Your VTR will respond to the "VTR 7"
position on the handset.
{2}:
Your VTR will respond to the "VTR 2"
position on the handset.
The VTR will only respond to the remote code
setting [1] or [2] you have selected. If you select
[2], you must set the VIR 1/VTR 2/TV switch on the
handset to the "VTR 2" position before the VTR
will respond to the handset.
{ON]:
The EURO jack delivers a Y/C separated
video signal. This means the EURO jack is
used as an S-VIDEO OUT.
{OFF}: The EURO jack delivers a composite video
signal.
Note: Select [ON] or (OFF) according to the EURO
jack input of your TV.

Press "5" to change the MIX setting.
[ON]:
The VTR plays both the VHS Hi-Fi sound
and linear sound at the same time.
[OFF]: The VTR plays either the VHS Hi-Fi sound
or linear sound.
Note:
This display has no effect when the L and/or
R audio level indicators do not light on the VTR's
display.
Press "6" to change the BASS setting.
[1]:
| The bass sound is emphasized.
(2]:
| The bass sound is emphasized more than
11}.
[OFF]: The bass is not emphasized.
Note: The bass from the AUDIO OUT and EURO
socket is emphasized, but the bass from the RF
OUT socket is not emphasized.

Press "9" to change the NICAM setting.
[AUTO]: Usually select [AUTO]. The VTR
discriminates whether the broadcast is
NICAM or not automatically.
{OFF}:
Select [OFF] when you do not want to
receive NICAM broadcasts.
