LEADLESS
(CHIP) COMPONENT REMOVAL/REPLACEMENT
Caution:
Keep
the
temperature
of the
soldering
iron tip 600 - 700°C.
1.
Component
Remova!
(1) Fit
the
soldering
iron
tip directly
on
the
component
as shown
in Fig.1
and 2 to melt
the
solder or adhesive.Removae
the component
using
tweezers
or
long nose
pliers.

Replacement
(1) After removing the component and cleaning the
pattern, apply a small
amount
of solder
to cool
it down.

(2) Put on the new component and solder it using a
soldering
iron tip as shown in Fig.4(a)

in sequence.

Caution:
Since
the pattern
and component
are close
to
each
other,take
great
care
not
to
damage
the component
or create
pattern
bridges
during
soldering.
If
the
temperature of the soldering iron tip is
too high, the component
could be damaged.
Do not
touch
the new
component
with the
soldering
iron tip when
installing
it.

1C REMOVAL/REPLACEMENT
1. Removal
Great
care
should
be taken
when
a defective
transistor
or
IC
is
remoned
or
replaced.
Be
careful
because
copper
foil
is used on both sides
of the circuit
board.
ICs and transistors
may be
removed
from the circuits
for testing.
A solder
absorber
or solder
removal
mesh wire may
be used to remove
solder
from each pin.
Remove
the
solder completely
from all the
IC pins untill
the
IC can be removed
without
any resistances.
When
a
transistor
is removed
for
testing,
use
pin - point
or clamp pliers
to lift
it to work as
a heat
sink
for
the
transistor
leads.
If the
transistor
or
IC is defective,it
may be cut off
from the
leads. Then unsolder
the
leads
and remove
them one by one.
2.
Replacement
If it
is necessary
to bend
the
IC leads,hold
the
IC firmly
and use
long noise
pliers
to bend
them.
Check
that
the
leads
are free from solder
and are
parallel
to the
IC body.
Before
replacing, remove
the
solder
completely
from the holes
in the circuit
board.When
replacing
the
IC or
transistoron
the
circuit
board, check
that
the new component
is oriented
correctly.
Before
soldering
the
IC, check
that
there
is no AC
voltage
between
the soldering
iron tip and common
ground.
HYBRID
IC REMOVAL/REPLACEMENT
Remove
solder
from the hole
in the circuit board
before
replacement.When
replacing
the component
on
the circuit
board,
check
that
the new component
is
orientad
correctly.
Before soldering the component,check
that there
is
no AC voltage
between
the soldering
iron tip and
common
ground.
CHECK AFTER REPAIRING
When
the
equipment
is repaired
by replacing
a
module
or
component,the
equipment
should
be
checked
to see whether
it operates
normally
or not.
