Use Directions:
Place Twin FingerGuard Baskets side by
side, or use one basket with beaker holder
(Fig. 9,10). Twin FingerGuard Baskets may
be used with or without basket section
Inserts. Place instruments across ridges in
bottom of basket. Place basket in tank and
clean for desired time.
C. Basket Section Inserts
The UC335 basket section inserts keep
instruments separated by user and
procedure, eliminating sorting. This increases
efficiency and reduces the potential for
accidental sticks and cuts since instruments
are pre-sorted and handled less.
Use Directions:
Place locking tabs of adjustable inserts into
basket holes (as shown in Fig. 11). Inserts
can be placed at any desired width along the
basket. Place as many basket section inserts
as required for your cleaning needs. To
remove or adjust position, simply squeeze
center tabs to unlock section insert from
basket holes.
D. Beaker Holder:
Place the UC330 beaker holder on bezel.
Place beaker positioning rings around the
beaker so that at least 2/3 of the beaker is
suspended in the main bath (Fig. 9). Clean
for desired time.
E. Cassette Racks:
Your BioSonic UC300 has two instrument
cassette racks to choose from:
• UC320 Hu-Friedy IMS
1
/
Thompson
2
Cassette Rack
This rack will hold three (3) large or six (6)
small cassettes.
Use Directions:
Up to three (3) large cassettes may be
placed horizontally in each of the three (3)
tiers of the rack (Fig. 12). Up to six (6) small
cassettes can be placed either horizontally or
vertically in the rack (Fig. 13). Place filled
rack in tank containing BioSonic General
Purpose Cleaner, BioSonic Enzymatic
Cleaner or BioSonic Germicidal Cleaner.
Once cassettes are cleaned, remove rack
from tank and tilt back over tank to drain.
Rack has stops on the back to prevent the
cassettes from slipping out (Fig. 14). Rinse
rack and cassettes on all sides thoroughly
under running tap water. Place rack on
draining tabs of unit bezel to dry. (See
Instrument Draining section for more details.)
• The UC321 for Zirc
3
cassettes.
This rack holds five (5) Zirc
3
Steri-Instrument
cassettes or ten (10) Zirc
3
or Clive Craig
instrument boxes.
Use Directions:
Place up to five (5) Steri-Instrument cassettes
vertically into rack and place rack into tank
for cleaning (Fig. 15). For Zirc
Craig
4
instrument boxes, place horizontally in
each of the two (2) lower tiers of the rack. Up
to ten (10) instruments boxes may be placed
in the rack (Fig. 16). Place rack in tank for
cleaning. After cleaning, rinse cassettes in
rack thoroughly under running tap water and
place on draining tabs of bezel to dry. (See
Instrument Draining section for more details.)

VI. Warnings
• Do not operate the unit without sufficient
solution in the tank.
• Do not use water alone as the carrier bath.
Water is not a satisfactory coupling agent
unless a wetting agent is used. For best
results use BioSonic General Purpose,
Biosonic Enzymatic or BioSonic Germicidal
Cleaner solutions.
• Do not place objects directly on bottom of the
tank. They may block cavitation and cause
buildup of heat in the transducer and
pre-mature failure. Use accessory baskets,
cassette racks or beaker holder to hold items.
• Do not use flammable liquids with BioSonic
units.
• Do not restrict air flow. Provide adequate
ventilation.
• Do not use acids in the stainless steel tank.
• Do not subject unit to shock or impact.
• Do not immerse the unit in water.
• Keep unit covered to reduce airborne
4
contaminants.
• Unspecified or improper use of this product
may impair safety protection.
• Never drain tank by manually discarding
solution as this may cause the unit to stop
working properly.
