8.2 Cleaning

DANGER
Danger to life due to electric shock
The device contains electrical components that carry high
voltage. Improper handling of the opened housing, espe-
cially in connection with moisture, will cause severe injury
to persons due to electric shock.
f Clean only the outside of the device.
f Keep the device and protection systems closed.

ATTENTION
Material damage due to incorrect cleaning.
Incorrect cleaning can cause damage to the housing or
components.
f Do not use running water and ensure that water cannot
reach live parts.
f Do not use high-pressure cleaning devices.
f Only use tools (e.g. brushes, cleaning agents) that are
suitable for plastic surfaces.
f Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemicals.
The device can be cleaned with a dry or damp cloth,
depending on application conditions and soiling.
The cleaning is carried out exclusively from the outside.
Procedure:
f First remove coarse dust and dirt with a hand brush
with soft bristles.
f If necessary, moisten a clean cloth suitable for plastic
surfaces with water and thoroughly wipe off the device.
f Only clean the charging cable when it is unplugged.

9. Remedy
If a fault occurs, the "Fault" LED lights up or flashes on the
LED info field. The device cannot be used as long as the
fault has not been rectified and acknowledged, if necessary.
Red LED flashing:
The fault can be corrected by the operator. Possible faults:
„ Wrong or defective charging cable.
„ Charging plug could not be locked.
„ Invalid CP signal.
„ Residual current device or miniature circuit breaker has
triggered.
To correct the fault, observe the following sequence:
1. Terminate the charging process and disconnect the
charging cable.
2. Re-connect the charging cable and start the charging
process.
3. Check that the charging cable is suitable.
4. Switch the residual current devices and miniature circuit
breakers back on (variants Light, Pro and Basic (R) only).

5. Disconnect the device from the mains for three minutes
and restart it.
If the fault could not be corrected, contact your
responsible service partner.
Red LED lights up:
The fault can usually be rectified by a qualified electrician.
To correct the fault, observe the following sequence:
1. Terminate the charging process and disconnect the
charging cable.
2. Re-connect the charging cable and start the charging
process.
3. Read the flash code. To do this, press the multi-function
or stop button (about 10 mm).
4. Acknowledge the fault with the multi-function or stop
button. To do this, press the multi-function or stop but-
ton again (about 10 mm).
If the fault could not be corrected, contact your
responsible service partner.
