The use for which your e-bike is
intended
Important: If you do not use your
i
e-bike as intended, you risk acci-
dents, serious injuries and damage
to the e-bike.
The intended use varies depending on
the e-bike model. All information on the
intended use of your e-bike can be found in
EN
chapter 3 „Intended use" of the original inst-
ructions.
What you need to consider
before your first ride
After purchasing your e-bike, make sure that
it is ready for use and appropriately set up
for you. In addition, familiarize yourself with
your new e-bike before taking your first ride.
Chapter 6 „Before the first ride" of the
original instructions details what you must
observe before riding your new e-bike for
the first time.
Which checks and inspections
must be performed regularly
Check your e-bike yourself and have it che-
cked regularly by a FLYER specialist dealer
as part of a professional inspection.
Chapter 7 „Checks and inspections" of
the original instructions details which regu-
lar checks you should carry out yourself and
which inspections you should have carried
out by your FLYER specialist dealer.
How to use your e-bike and
what to observe in the process
Your e-bike is a complex vehicle that must
be handled differently to some extent than
a regular bicycle or a bicycle with which you
are already familiar. A number of product-
and model-specific features must therefore
be observed when using your e-bike.
The individual operating steps for use
are described in chapter 5 „Use of the
e-bike" of the original instructions.
How to properly care for your
e-bike
To guarantee that you will be able enjoy
your e-bike for a long time and that you are
not taking any risks in terms of safety, regu-
lar cleaning and maintenance of your e-bike
is important.
The cleaning and care measures for the
individual components of your e-bike are
detailed in chapter 8 „Cleaning and care" of
the original instructions.
How to extend the lifetime of
your e-bike and prevent the loss
of function of components
As a vehicle, your e-bike is exposed to
various loads. The individual components
wear at different rates. If components are
completely or slightly worn out, this condi-
tion can affect their functionality and result
in a hazard for you as the cyclist. To avoid
this danger and guarantee that you will be
able to enjoy your e-bike for a long time, the
regular maintenance of your e-bike and the
replacement of worn components or parts
are important.
For detailed information on the wear and
tear of the individual components of your
e-bike and maintenance measures, refer to
chapter 9 „Maintenance and replacement of
wear parts" of the original instructions.
