A further menu is assigned to the 8 button which can be used to change the outgoing
message on the answering machine via the remote access facility.
Play back the menu announcement to the end and access to the submenu by
pressing the corresponding button.
12.8.4 Programming a new outgoing message via remote access
If you have initiated recording a new OGM by pressing button combination 8 3
(refer to Section 12.8.3), speak your new outgoing message and confirm it by pressing

12.8.5 Remote activation of the answering machine
The remote access feature enables the answering machine to be switched on via any
telephone which uses tone dialling mode.

If the security code is entered incorrectly three times, the line is automatically
disconnected.

Other functions can be executed via the remote access system within the follo-
wing
10 seconds (refer to Section 12.8.3).

12.8.6 Free of charge pre−remote access
The free of charge pre−remote access function can be used to determine whether messa-
ges have been left on your answering machine without accruing any telephone charges.
Set the number of rings to toll−saver" (refer to Section 12.2).
When you subsequently call the answering machine while underway, the answering ma-
chine responds as follows:

If your call is taken after 2 rings, there are messages on the answering
machine.
S
If no messages have been recorded, the call is not taken after 2 rings. Replace
the receiver immediately because the call will be taken after 5 rings. No
telephone charges are necessary because no connection has been made.
