8.2. Inserting/replacing backup batteries

If you disconnect the device from the mains, insert two high quality LR03/R03/AAA
batteries (not included in package contents) to enable the time to continue to run
in the background and to retain your device settings. Replace the batteries after two
years at the latest.
 Open the battery cover on the underside of the device.
 Insert the batteries into the battery compartment as shown.
 Then close the battery cover.
If the device is not going to be used for a longer period of
time, remove the batteries from the device.
WARNING!
Risk of explosion!
Risk of explosion if battery is replaced incorrectly.
 Replace batteries only with the same or equivalent
type.

9. Setting up the device

Place the device and speaker on a sturdy, level surface. Some aggressive varnishes
can corrode the rubber feet on the device. If necessary, place the device on a suita-
ble underlay.
Before connecting an external device, unplug the mains plug from the
device!
