2.4.3 Connecting the electric heat exchanger to the water circuit of a filter system

Install the electric heat exchanger in the pressure line (to the pool) after the pump and filter.
The EWT 80-40/-41 is connected to the water circuit via the 1 1/2" internal thread or via hose connections
with hose clamps.
The EWT 80-70/-71 is integrated into the water circuit with d50 PVC adhesive fittings.

2.4.4 General installation instructions for the flow switch

The flow-calming section must be at least 5 x DN upstream and downstream of the flow control switch.
The flow control switch may only be installed in a horizontal pipe.
You must consult the manufacturer for different installation systems.
The switches should only be installed vertically, max. deviation 45° (see fig. 1).
Ensure that no external magnetic fields in the immediate vicinity of the flow control switch can affect the
operation of the unit (see fig. 2).
There is an arrow on the flow control switch. During installation, make sure that it runs parallel with the
pipe axis and points in the direction of flow (see fig. 3).
The plastic cap nut G 3/4 must be tightened with a maximum torque of 8 Nm.

CAUTION!
The electric heat exchanger may be damaged.
When connecting to the water circuit, ensure that no metal parts get into the
electric heat exchanger.
CAUTION!
The electric heat exchanger may be damaged by chemicals.
Generally, disinfection devices must be installed in the direction of the flow
after the electric heat exchanger. The distance must be at least 1 m and the
following sequence must be observed: first regulate the hardness, then add
the chlorine.
If chemicals (e.g. chlorine gas) are used, no gases may enter the electric heat
exchanger during filter downtimes.
