Electric heat exchanger / Setting up and installation
2
Setting up and installation
2.1 Transportation / storage
Only transport the electric heat exchanger when it is empty.
Only store the rinsed and drained electric heat exchanger inside rooms with a non-aggressive atmosphere.
2.2 Set up
Only install the electric heat exchanger in frost-proof, dry rooms with a non-aggressive atmosphere.
Dripping water may damage the electric heat exchanger.
Ensure ease of access for assembly and disassembly.
2.3 Installation
Before installation, check the electric heat exchanger for any visible damage.
The electric heat exchanger can be installed horizontally or vertically above or below the water level.
When installed above or below 0.50 m of the water level, the safety pressure switch (low-water protection)
loses its effectiveness.
In this case, a Behncke ® flow switch is absolutely necessary instead of the pressure switch.
(see EWT 80-41/-71)

CAUTION!
The following water values must be observed for the electric heat exchanger.

CAUTION!
There is a risk of fire if the safety devices fail.
If the electric heat exchanger overheats, this may cause a fire.
The electric heat exchanger must be prevented from emptying during operation.
Do not store flammable materials nearby.
