PROGRAMMING
The wMIU
V2. is delivered preconfigured.

For the intended commissioning of the water meter with a wMIU
parameters must be defined and programmed.
The EquaScan programming software is used for this purpose. Each wMIU
has an inductive interface, over which the module is configured. Information on
the index and device can be read and recorded over at any time, independently
of the radio operation. The inductive interface serves to quickly and accurately
parameterize and read data via the computer using an inductive head. The
inductive head is connected to the computer by USB and has an attachment to
position it on the wMIU

READING AND PROGRAMMING THE MODULE
After the wMIU
V2 has been read via the inductive interface, the entry form for

the parameters becomes available. The programming parameters, which are
activated by the administrator, can be selected and overwritten with new values.
These changes are adopted in the wMIU
begins. Other wMIU
V2 values and parameters can be read from the various

selection fields.
MODULE PARAMETERS
CAUTION: Programming the actual water meter index is vital for the wMIU
function correctly!
The following programming parameters are possible:
• Setting a radio mode:
- EquaScan V2 (single encryption and bidirectional);
- EquaScan retrofit (master encryption and bidirectional);
- OMS (single encryption and unidirectional)
CAUTION: As standard, the wMIU
EquaScan V2 radio mode
• Setting the internal clock.
CAUTION: Changing the date has a direct influence on the fixed date function!
• Setting the billing month (fixed date month).
• Setting a customer serial number.
• Setting the measuring medium cold water or warm water.
• Setting the water meter index of the water meter.
• Activating / deactivating the encryption (radio).
Only valid for EquaScan retrofit radio mode.
• Changing the target value (not recommended) (pulse weight = 0.001).
• Changing the meter unit (not recommended) (m
• Setting a password for the inductive communication with the wMIU
• Setting a leakage threshold.
• Resetting / deleting alarms and registers:
- removal / tamper alarm
- monthly history
- reverse flow register
- end-of-year indexes
