11. Storage & Transport

Storage

Store unused devices with attached protective cover in

a dry, locked place out of the reach of children.

To extend the service life of the hedge trimmer and

guarantee smooth operation, before storing for a longer

period.

Thoroughly clean the device.

Treat all movable parts with an environmentally friendly.

oil.

Never use any grease!

Slide the protective cover on the cutting device.

Remove the spark plug connector.

Empty the fuel tank completely.

Dispose of remaining fuel in an environmentally com-

patible manner.

Operate the engine until the carburettor is empty.

13. Troubleshooting

Fault

Hedge trimmer does not work.

Cutting device gets hot

Transport

To transport the device stop the engine and wait until

the cutting device does not longer move. Attach the pro-

tective cover.

Carry the device with the front handle.

When transporting the device within a car put it in the

boot or on a separate loading area. Secure the hedge

trimmer against tipping over, damages and fuel spillage.

12. Disposal and recycling

The disposal instructions are based on icons placed on

the appliance or its package.

The package protects the appliance against damage

during transport. Packing materials are usually chosen

depending on their environmental friendliness and dis-

posal method and can therefore be recycled. Returning

the package to material circulation saves raw materials

and reduces waste disposal costs.

Parts of packages (e.g. foils, styropor®) can be

dangerous to children.Risk of suffocation!

Keep parts of packages away from children and dispose

them as soon as possible.

Possible cause

• No fuel supply

• Fault in the fuel line

• Fuel filter clogged

• Spark plug defective

• Carburettor defective

• Internal fault.

• ON / OFF switch defective.

• Cutting device blocked

• Internal fault.

• Clutch defective

• Missing lubrication => friction

• Not enough play

• Cutting blades are blunt

Remedy

• Check the fuel quantity

• Check the fuel line for kinks or dam-

ages

• Clean/replace the fuel filter

• Replace the spark plug
