Before first use
■ Clean the appliance and all accessories
as described in the section Cleaning.
Place the base 9 on a firm, level and heat-
■
resistant surface.
■ Ensure that the mains power socket is always
easily accessible in the event of a fault.
Operating the appliance
Note: The first time the appliance heats up, a
small amount of smoke and odour may result
from production-related residues. This is normal
and is completely harmless. Ensure sufficient
ventilation; for example, by opening a window.
The base 9 is set up and all parts are cleaned:
1) Put the steam tube 7 on the steamer e.
Make sure that the 3 small holes on the steam
tube 7 engage with the corresponding plastic
pins on the bottom of the base 9.
2) Fill 500 ml of fresh drinking water into the
base 9.
3) Place the liquid collection tray 6 on the
base 9.
4) Place the 3 steam attachments 5/4/3
on the liquid collection tray 6.
Note: Make sure the steam attachments
5/4/3 are in the correct order, as they are
all slightly different sizes. They are marked on
the handholds t with the number 1, 2 or 3.
Place the steam attachments 5/4/3 from
bottom to top in the order 1, 2, 3.
5) Place the rice bowl 2 in the upper steam
attachment 3.
6) Put the lid 1 on.
7) Insert the plug into a suitable mains socket.
8) Set the control dial 0 to a time of 5-10 min.
The appliance starts to heat up and the operat-
ing indicator light q lights up.
9) When the set time has elapsed, the appliance
switches off automatically.
Let it cool down and clean all parts again.
The appliance is now ready for use.
