Optical Attenuators
About the attenuators
The OLA-54/-55/-55M Optical Attenuators provide
continuously variable attenuation of optical signals. The
OLA-55M additionally provides a power control function.
Since the attenuators were designed primarily for in-
service testing of laser systems, these devices are
suitable for applications involving communications
equipment for the digital hierarchies (PDH, SDH) as well
as for systems using analog modulation (CATV).
Battery operation from four AA batteries and the robust,
shock-proof design provide long operating time in the
field even under tough conditions. AC line operation via
a separate AC adapter and the USB interface for remote
control also ensure ease of use in the laboratory or
production environment.
