Setting a reference level

The attenuation in relative attenuation mode is displayed
relative to a reference level, which can be set by defining
the actual attenuation as the reference level or by editing
the level manually.
Setting the actual attenuation as
reference level
 The device is in absolute attenuation mode.
1. Press [MENU ENTER]
The MAIN menu opens.
2. Press [] key to select Store ABS->REF.
3. Press [MENU ENTER] to store level.
Note: Reference levels are assigned to the selected
wavelength, so they must be stored for each
wavelength separately. The stored values are
retained when the device is switched off.
Editing the reference level
1. Select Edit Ref. Level in the MAIN menu
The edit display opens.
2. Press [] to change the level:
– press once to change the level by 0.01 dB,
– hold down key to increase the step rate.
3. Press [MENU ENTER] to set level.
The device is in relative attenuation mode.
