Filter cleaning

ATTENTION!
Always wear face mask and gloves during filter
exchange/cleaning.
Clean the filters:
- when the ioniser and/or the collector start making a sputtering
noise (high voltage indicator starts blinking or fully
extinguishes); or
- when the airflow is reduced to the point that extraction
performance is no longer satisfactory; or
- when damaged
Since the nature and the degree of saturation strongly depend
on for example the composition of the welding fumes, the
humidity and the intensity of use, etc. you must learn from
experience when to clean the filters. However, the filters should
be cleaned regularly (every 2 weeks up to every 2 months).
To clean the filters proceed as follows.
