USB-playback

Do not connect an MP3-player to the USB interface (16) if it is battery-operated. The USB interface (16)
power supply may load the inserted batteries and cause overheating or explosion of a battery.
If the USB storage medium is not recognised, remove it and insert it again.
Only USB storage media can be operated at the USB interface (16). MP3 players with a USB port usually
switch into PC mode when this port is connected. In this mode, music files cannot be played. However, you
can connect MP3-players or other devices for playback to the connection AUX IN (15).
• Connect your USB drive with music tracks to the USB port (16).
• Use the dial switch VOLUME (11) to navigate to the item "USB" and open it by pushing the dial switch
VOLUME (11). Alternatively, you can push the button MODE (5) repeatedly until "USB" is displayed.
• An overview of the contents saved on the USB drive will appear.
• Select the desired track and push the dial switch VOLUME (11).
• The selected track is played back.
• Hold the buttons LEFT (2) or RIGHT (4) down to jump one track backwards or forwards.
• Push the dial switch VOLUME (11) to get back into the overview and to select a different track.
UPnP-Playback
The device supports "UPnP" ("Universal Plug and Play").
This enables you to stream music from your network. However, this requires that your network contains
a compatible device that works as a server. This may be, e.g., a network hard disc with UPnP server
or a conventional PC with, e.g., Windows
permitted.
• Use the dial switch VOLUME (11) to navigate to the item "UPnP" and open it by pushing the dial switch
VOLUME (11). Alternatively, you can push the button MODE (5) repeatedly until "UPnP" is displayed.
• The internet radio will automatically scan for compatible devices in the network and display them in a list. If the
device desired by you is not displayed in the list, go back one step with the button LEFT (2) and open the item again.
• Use the dial switch VOLUME (11) to select a network device and confirm your selection by pushing the dial switch
VOLUME (11).
• Now the server menu is displayed. The folders and groups that are displayed depend on the server. Navigate
through the structure and start playback of the desired track by pushing the dial switch VOLUME (11).
• The selected track is played back.
• Hold the buttons LEFT (2) or RIGHT (4) down to jump one track backwards or forwards.
• Push the dial switch VOLUME (11) to get back into the overview and to select a different track.
