10. Operation

a) Basic Functions

Switching On/Off, Standby

• Push the on/off switch (12) to the ON position in order to switch on the device.
• To switch it off, push the on/off switch (12) back into the position OFF.
• In order to switch standby operation on or off, push the STANDBY (3) button.
In standby mode, the display (1) will show the time and weather data (when activated in the menu).

General Operation

• Turning the dial switch VOLUME (11) will set the volume and functions can be selected, or settings/values in the
menu can be changed.
• The button "LEFT (2) will take you a step back in many functions or settings.
• The button RIGHT (4) will take you a step forward in many functions or settings.
• If you push the dial switch VOLUME (11) like a conventional button, this confirms a selection or a setting.
• The button MODE (5) switches through the different operating modes. When you push this button, the device
switches to the respective next operating mode.
• The button PRESET (6) will take you right to the favourites list, where you can save stations or select saved
stations.
• The button MENU (7) opens the main menu of the internet radio.
• The button ALARM (8) opens the settings for the alarm directly.
• The button DIMMER (9) switches the brightness of the display (1) between the regular setting and the energy
savings setting.
• The button LOCAL RADIO (10) calls a local station selection that you can choose from based on various categories.
b) Initial Setup
When first switching on the device after it has been completely disconnected from the mains or switched
off with the on/off switch (12), you will see "WELCOME" in the display after activation. The starting process
takes a few seconds. The status is displayed with a charging bar.
If you want to change the following configuration later, you can find it in the menu item "CONFIGURATION".
The individual subitems are "LANGUAGE" and "NETWORK".
