• Safely dispose of the old plug.
• Connect the brown lead to the live terminal in
the plug.
• Connect the blue lead to the neutral terminal.
WARNING: No connection is to be
made to the earth terminal.

quality plugs. Recommended fuse: 13 A.
Using an Extension Cable
If an extension cable is required, use an approved
3–core extension cable suitable for the power
input of this tool (see technical data). The minimum
conductor size is 1.5 mm
; the maximum length is
2
30 m.
When using a cable reel, always unwind the cable
completely.
ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS
WARNING: To reduce the risk of
injury, turn unit off and disconnect
machine from power source before
installing and removing accessories,
before adjusting or changing set-
ups or when making repairs. Be sure
the trigger switch is in the OFF position.
An accidental start-up can cause injury.
Fitting Sanding Discs (fi g. 2)
Your sander uses 150 mm hook and loop sanding
discs with a 6 hole dust extraction pattern.
1. Place the sander on a table, sanding pad (h) up.
2. Place the sanding disc directly on top of the
sanding pad.
3. Hold the sanding pad (h) with one hand and
align the dust extraction holes (k).
Electronic Speed Control Dial (fi g. 3)
Your sander is equipped with an electronic speed
control dial (b) with 5 positions. Generally, harder
materials require a higher setting. The correct set-
ting, however, is a matter of experience.
FITTING THE SIDE HANDLE (FIG. 4)
1. Remove the plastic screw (o).
2. Mount the side handle (f) on either side of the
tool.

Dust Extraction

Since woodworking with a sander produces dust,
always install the dustbag or connect a vacuum
extractor designed in compliance with the applicable
directives regarding dust emission. Proper dust
extraction will only be achieved with perforated
abrasive.
WARNING: Do not use a dustbag or
vacuum extractor when sanding metal.
WARNING: Do not sand magnesium!
Dustbag (fi g. 1)
Attach the dustbag (c) with the dustbag adaptor (e)
to the dust extraction spout (g). For efficient dust
extraction empty the bag when it is about one third
full.
Vacuum Extractor (fi g. 5)
1. Remove the dustbag adaptor (e) by pulling it
firmly off the dust extraction spout (g).
2. Attach the vacuum extractor adaptor (d) to the
dust extraction spout (g).
3. Connect the vacuum extractor to the vacuum
extractor adaptor (d).

OPERATION

Instructions for Use
WARNING: Always observe the safety
instructions and applicable regulations.
WARNING: Apply only a gentle
pressure to the workpiece. Excessive
pressure does not improve the sanding
effect, but only results in an increased
load on the machine and causes the
abrasive to tear.
WARNING: Avoid overloading.
