Noise caused by the induction hob
• Induction hobs may produce whistling or crackling noises during normal
operation, caused by the pots and pans due to the nature of the bases (e.g.
bases made of several layers of material or uneven bases). These noises vary
depending on the pots and pans used and the amount of food they contain,
and are not an indication of a defect of any kind.
• In addition, the induction hob is equipped with an internal cooling system to
control the temperature of the electronic components. Therefore, the sound
of the cooling fan can be heard during operation and for a few minutes after
the hob has been switched off. This is completely normal and even essential
for the proper functioning of the unit.
Power connection
This hob may only be connected to the mains by a suitably qualified person.
Before connecting the hob to the mains, check that the following points apply:
• The house installation must be suitable for the power supply of the hob.
• The voltage corresponds to the specifications on the type plate.
• The cable sections of the power supply are suitable for the load specified on
the type plate.
• No adapters, reducers or branching devices may be used to connect the hob
to the mains supply, as they can lead to overheating and the risk of fire.
• The power supply cable must not touch any hot parts and must be routed so
that the temperature does not exceed 75
• The power supply should be connected according to the relevant standard or
via a single-pole circuit breaker. The wiring method is shown below.
